About the Project
The City of Sunny Isles Beach required the installation of artificial turf at two separate city facilities including the baseball/sports field at Pelican Community Park and the soccer/multipurpose field at Senator Gwen Margolis Park.

Due to the high volume of usage and demand by residents, it was necessary to replace the natural turf at these two locations with quality artificial turf. The scope of work also included adding area lighting, miscellaneous side walk repairs from pre-existing damage, gate reconstruction, converting the batting cages to artificial turf and fence repair/replacement.
The benefits of artificial turf include lower maintenance costs, increased playability and fewer injuries due to the field’s even playing surface and durability, and environmental benefits from the usage of pesticide-free artificial turf.
