About the Project
The FAU football fields experienced drainage problems that required immediate attention. FAU needed a new field that would withstand the sunny and rainy weather conditions of Florida.
LTG Sports Turf One Services
Our team was able to determine that the FAU football fields required irrigation and drainage to correct the drainage problem caused by the weathered conditions. We continued on to provide routine sports field maintenance services to all of the football fields during the football season.
With a capacity of 33,000, open-air architecture and most importantly, a premium natural turf playing surface, this $70 million stadium was ready to open in 2011. The field was named after Howard Schnellenberger, the founding coach of the Owls football program, who spent the final 11 seasons of his coaching career at FAU, retiring after the 2011 season.
